Explore Structural WeldingCan This Be Repaired, or Does It Need to Be Replaced?
It's one of the first questions most people have — and the honest answer is: it depends. Welding is not automatically the right solution for every damaged metal component.
Repair may make sense when
- Damage is isolated to a specific area
- The surrounding material is still structurally sound
- Replacement would be difficult or unnecessary
- Reinforcement can restore the component safely
Replacement may make more sense when
- Corrosion is widespread across the component
- The metal has failed in the same area more than once
- Fatigue or cracking extends beyond the visible damage
- The original component is no longer suitable for the job
- A repair would not restore safe, reliable operation

What Does a Welding Project Cost?
Every welding project is different, so we'd rather understand what you're working with than throw out a number that may have nothing to do with your project.
Two projects that look similar in photos can require very different amounts of preparation, material, fabrication, and welding. That's why we prefer to understand the project before estimating the work.
Photos are often the easiest place to start. Send us a few pictures and a description of what you need, and we'll help you understand what the project may involve.

Questions Customers Ask
Who CR Welding Is a Good Fit For.
We'd rather be honest about fit than take on work we're not the right team for.
We're probably a good fit if…
- You need a welder who can come to your location
- You have equipment or metal components that need repair
- You need something fabricated instead of buying an off-the-shelf part
- You need structural or installation work
- You want help determining the right solution before the work begins
We may not be the right fit if…
- Your project requires a specialized process or certification we don't currently offer
- You need high-volume production manufacturing rather than custom or one-off work
- Your project involves a material or process outside of steel, stainless, and aluminum welding
